English Language Training On-site

Onsite English language training class for manufacturing, transportation and healthcare employees

English Language Training On-Site for Employees

Language Connections brings certified English instructors directly to your facility to deliver group English language training for Limited English Proficiency (LEP) employees — on your schedule, in your workplace. We work with large employers across manufacturing, transportation and logistics, construction, apparel and consumer goods production, restaurants and food service, hotels, IT and service companies, aviation, oil and gas, healthcare and hospital networks, utilities, and many other industries that depend on immigrant workers to keep operations running.

When large portions of your workforce don't speak English as a first language, it shows up in safety incidents, missed instructions, slower onboarding, and turnover. Onsite group training closes that gap without pulling employees off-site or disrupting shifts.

Why Companies Choose Onsite English Training

Onsite English language training class for manufacturing, transportation and healthcare employees
  • Fewer safety incidents. Employees who understand safety briefings, warnings, and supervisor instructions in English make fewer costly mistakes on the line, in the warehouse, on the jobsite, on the road, or in the field.
  • Faster onboarding and cross-training. New hires ramp up faster when they can follow SOPs and training materials without a language barrier slowing them down.
  • Higher retention. Employees who feel invested in — and who can grow into lead and supervisor roles — stay longer. Language is often the ceiling on internal promotion.
  • Better shift and team communication. Multilingual crews coordinate more smoothly across shifts, departments, and with English-speaking supervisors and clients.
  • No lost production time off-site. Training happens at your facility, scheduled around shift patterns — mornings, afternoons, evenings, or between shifts.
  • Scales across teams and locations. Group classes can run in parallel across shifts, departments, or multiple company sites using a consistent curriculum.

How Group English Training Works

Group English training is built for companies with many LEP employees who need to improve their English together — not one-on-one tutoring, but structured classes designed for teams, shifts, and departments.

Onsite English language training class for manufacturing, transportation and healthcare employees

1. Language Needs Assessment We assess your employees' current English levels and identify the vocabulary, tasks, and workplace scenarios most relevant to their roles. This takes about two weeks, and your instructor is involved from the start.

2. Grouping by Level and Location Employees are placed into groups of 10–12 based on similar English proficiency, so every class moves at the right pace. For companies with multiple shifts, departments, or facilities, we can run several groups in parallel — each with its own schedule — so everyone gets access to training without operations slowing down.

3. Custom Curriculum Using our Needs Assessment findings, we build a course around your company's real terminology, equipment, procedures, and communication points — not a generic ESL textbook. The same core curriculum can be delivered consistently across multiple locations if your company operates at more than one site.

4. Flexible Scheduling, On-Site Classes are held at your facility. Morning, afternoon, and evening options fit around shift schedules — typically 2–3 sessions per week, 2–3 hours each.

5. Speaking-First Instruction Employees learn by speaking, not memorizing. Instructors use interactive, low-pressure methods so every participant gets speaking practice without being put on the spot.

6. Feedback & Measurable Progress Participants get ongoing oral and written feedback. Supervisors can weigh in throughout the course, and we report on outcomes and improvement areas at the end of each course — useful for HR and training teams tracking ROI across departments or locations.

Courses typically start within 3 weeks of your initial request — 2 weeks for assessment and customization, plus scheduling.
